Green Lake State Park actually has two glacially formed lakes within its borders. Both Green Lake and Round Lake are meromictic in ture, which means the surface and bottom waters don’t mix normally in spring and fall. Because of this, there is a high likelihood of finding ancient animal and plant fossils in the depths.
This campground near Syracuse, New York, is in the friendly village of Fayetteville, which offers a lot of trails to hike through, lakes to explore, and restaurants and shops to patronize. The property has some basic amenities, such as electric hookups and showers, and the park offers an 18-hole golf course. Considering all the amenities and the great rates, this is a perfect campground for the family that wants to stay near the water.
“Sites were kind of small in my opinion but the facilities were very nice. Even had a fresh water fill station on the way into the park which is nice so you don’t have to fill up before arrival.” – mdeisenroth, RV Park Reviews
