Fort Pillow is roughly 40 miles north of Tennessee, and it was made famous for a battle that took place there during the Civil War. Today, there are archeological digs being conducted on part of the property in addition to it also being a park and campsite. This is one of the great historical attractions of Tennessee.
There is a playground for children to play on. There are lots of trails and historical sites to visit in this park that provide a great educational experience for both adults and little ones. There is a fascinating museum in the park that is devoted to the Battle of Fort Pillow and the Civil War in general.
“Beautiful park, great staff with many guided activities. Lots of good trails and much history to be explored. Campgrounds are very nice.” Richard, Google Review
