This campground is located on Lake Ashtabula in Valley City, which is about 60 miles from Fargo, and it offers some of the best RV camping in Fargo, North Dakota. The campsites are large and secluded from other campers by large thickets of the forest. There is lake access, allowing campers to go swimming, boating, or fishing.
The campsites are electric only without full hookups, so this is more of a short-term vacation spot than a long-stay destination. There are plenty of trails to hike on when you’re not enjoying the beautiful waters of Lake Ashtabula, and there are restaurants and shops in nearby Valley City.
“This is everything a campground should be. Very large sites, very well separated, and very private. Large shade trees. Bathrooms and showers are heated, clean, and the best we have seen anywhere.” – Meanderingman, RV Park Review
