At the Confluence of the Mighty Llano and the Majestic James River, you'll find this undiscovered gem in the Texas hill country. The charming town of Mason, with its historic town square, authentic BBQ, wineries and restored movie theater, is only 8 miles away.
The area boasts especially dark skies, so the stargazing is terrific! Enjoy easy access to the river with activities like kayaking, tubing, stand up paddle-boarding, fishing, off roading, topaz hunting, and s’mores by the campfire. Hiking at nearby Mason Mountain is popular, as is the Eckert James River Bat Cave Preserve where thousands of bats put on a nightly show as they emerge from the cave at dusk. There's a 20-acre island in front of the property where you’re sure to find your own private slice of heaven. The park is also super pet friendly!
“Dos Rios is one of our favorite spots for camping, fishing and kayaking. The proprietors are super nice and accommodating and the campground has always been clean and well maintained. This is a great spot for families or groups to meet and have a great time on the Llano River or just exploring the campground.” – Ben, Google Review
