One of the highest spots in West Tennessee is home to this beautiful state park with three newly renovated campgrounds. Tent camping and RV camping are done separately, while the third section is reserved for equestrians. If you’re not at the park to horseback ride, then Lake Placid, and the hiking trails will keep you occupied.
Some of the best activities at this state park are done in the lake, including fishing, kayaking, swimming, canoeing, and riding paddle boats. Many state park guests hike through the woods just to watch for distinct bird species. Once they’re back at the campsite, they usually like to grill their food and eat at their own picnic tables.
“Paddle boats are fun, swimming is in the lake, camping sites are nice, inn food is good for the area, mountain bikes and horse trails.” – Spindron, Trip Advisor Review
