This county-run park is a nature lover’s paradise in the middle of Coopers Rock State Forest. It may be a challenge to drive along the entrance road and back into your space if you drive or tow a large unit. For small- to mid-size RV owners, however, Chestnut Ridge Park & Campground is the perfect destination for a backwoods’ experience.
Playgrounds and a swimming pond keep the little ones occupied for most of the day at this county park. The pond has a little beach area where you can sunbathe, and the on-site fishing lake draws guests of all ages. If you enjoy live entertainment, then you’ll want to be at Chestnut Ridge Park & Campground on Saturdays.
“Our primary experience was with the great staff, who did all they could to help us and even stopped by our campsite to check on us. Price is $28 for one night but $24 if you stay multiple nights, so we paid $48 for two nights.” – SheriRS, RV Park Review
