Visitors often like to go rafting on the Cheat River while they’re in northcentral West Virginia. This Morgantown-area campground is very near the river’s entry point and features 10 grassy acres of land for RV parking. Although this facility is mostly for primitive camping, the sites are level, and three of them have electricity.
The couple who owns and manages these Morgantown-area camping sites are avid RVers who opened the park in 2006. Phil and Kate Tonnessen strive to make their campground a place of rest and tranquility for their guests. Since festivals are a large part of life in West Virginia, the people that stay here are often looking for a convenient location to camp during special events.
“Very friendly owner. Awesome sites right along the river. Will stay here anytime I am in town. Bring quarters for the showers.” – James, TripAdvisor Review
