Located just 1 mile west of Salix, Bigelow Park is one of the nearby Sioux City campgrounds that is easy to access. The campground is 32 acres in size and sits beside a tural oxbow of the Missouri River. Brown’s Lake is over 600 acres in size and makes a great spot to cast a line.
Brown’s Lake offers excellent fishing: You can catch catfish, largemouth bass and northern pike there. A boat ramp, fishing dock, and a hunting magement area are located to the west of the lake. The lake is also a popular spot for waterskiing and recreatiol boating.
“We love camping here….great shower house, water hookups are very nice, fishing ok, and fun to go boating with our friends! Close to home if we forget something.” -Teresa, Facebook Review
