After a day exploring Acadia National Forest, Bar Harbor Campground is the perfect place to kick back and relax. Enjoy the ocean view while you swim or just relax at your peaceful, wooded site.
Just outside the campground are two restaurants, Mainely Meats and Travelin’ Lobster. Both serve up great meals. Catch the free shuttle for rides throughout Acadia National Forest and to most anywhere in town. It’s a great way to see Bar Harbor without worrying about parking.
“There is a shuttle bus that picks up at the entrance to this park – nice, because finding a place to park in Bar Harbor is a real pain. This is the closest park to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, and reasonably priced for the area. Boat trips out of Bar Harbor are interesting. Great bike paths (on the carriage roads) in Acadia! A Walmart in Ellsworth (on your way in or out).” – RV Park Reviews
