It is hard to realize how close the big city is when you’re camping at Big Sioux Recreation Area. This lovely park is filled with old growth trees and natural wonders, and you can go bird-watching, boating, fishing, hiking, or exploring through one of the nearby historical sites when you stay here. There may be minimal amenities at this park, but you won’t miss wireless internet and cable television thanks to the natural beauty.

I can only begin to imagine how old some of the trees are for how huge they are. I enjoyed how the trail followed the river and covered varying grades of terrain. Countryside Campground & Motel is a quiet family-owned campground located in Lennox, which is about 20 miles southwest of Sioux Falls. The park features plenty of picnic areas as well as a small playground for the kids. There is also a grassy area for pets to run around in
While there are only 38 RV sites at Countryside Campground & Motel, all of them have nice concrete pads. The sites are well-groomed and surrounded by lush green grass and dirt driveways. In addition to excellent camping sites, the park offers a great location near the highway and area attractions.

I liked the layout of the sites, all are pull-throughs but situated so you feel you have plenty of room. There are gravel roads and sites but with nice picnic tables on a concrete pad.
