South Fork State Recreation Area is a huge expanse of public parkland. It offers access to a large lake where you can go boating or fishing. In addition, South Fork State Recreation Area features a dry campground.
While there aren’t any hookups at South Fork State Recreation Area, the rates charged at this campground are incredibly low. There is a boat launch that sits next to a parking lot. For your convenience, the complimentary dump station at South Fork State Recreation Area is kept open all year.

The park list points because of the poorly designed showers that get the entire cubicle wet. There aren’t any benches. One press of the button lasts 15 seconds. All lights are on timers. Dunn’s Wildhorse Ranch & Resort is a small campground to the north of Elko. This family-owned RV park is in a remote area, so it’s great for those who enjoy exploring the outdoors. You can go fishing at Dunn’s Wildhorse Ranch & Resort, and hunting is also allowed.
Even though Dunn’s Wildhorse Ranch & Resort offers full hookups, this RV park charges very low rates. There is a bar at Dunn’s Wildhorse Ranch & Resort that serves beer, cocktails, and food. When you’re ready to get out and explore, you’ll find numerous ATV trails in the area surrounding the park.
