It’s just an hour drive from Manhattan and a 2 hour commuter train ride, making it easily accessible via public transportation. The RV park is on Raritan Bay in New Jersey, just south of Staten Island.
This beautiful 1,274 acre state park is home to dense forest and sits right on the harbor with views of the Atlantic. It’s just outside of New York City, making it a great but convenient getaway. You’ll find great walking trails, which are even more picturesque in Autumn, as well as fishing, picnicking, boating, canoeing, swimming, and mountain biking. The amenities are basic but the setting is scenic and calm, and the price is incredibly affordable. There is an 11-foot height restriction on vehicles entering the camping area, so keep that in mind.
